The Ocean are Working on a New Album, Release Live Video for “Rhyacian”
If you’re anything like me you’re a fan of The Ocean, not just because they constantly use words I can’t pronounce as song titles, but because they make some of the most beautiful progressive metal out there. Their last album, Pelagial, was fantastic from start to finish and I hope they can continue where they left off. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of other details right now but I can tell you they’re aiming for a release sometime in the window of late 2017 / early 2018. Fuck yes.
The group has also released a live video performance for their song, “Rhyacian,” which appeared on their 2007 album Precambrian. The video was shot back in November at Brick by Brick in San Diego, CA. It’s a gorgeous track, and it’s well-directed with superb sound quality. If you’re looking to pass the time until the next album check it out below.
