Suicide Silence Fans Launched a Petition to Block the Release of Their New Album
People are upset about the new direction Suicide Silence have taken on their forthcoming self-titled album. VERY upset!
So much so that a fan named Vince Carmichael decided to launch a petition at Change.org to attempt to block Nuclear Blast Records from releasing the album when it’s scheduled to come out on February 24th. The petition has garnered 1,037 signatures as of the time of this writing out of a goal of 1,500.
Such petitions are completely symbolic, of course; they hold no legal clout, and nothing short of manufacturing error or nuclear bomb is going to stop Nuclear Blast from releasing a record by one of their marquee artists. But boy is it funny to see how riled up people are about this record!
The comments on the petition are perhaps the best part of it. Here’s a few:
We did not attempt to reach any of the members of Suicide Silence for comment on this breaking development, but we’re pretty sure they would’ve said something like the following: “Suck it, haterz!”
Be sure to watch the video of Eddie Hermida and Mark Heylmun taking over the MetalSucks Facebook page and responding to mean internet comments about them.
