Amon Amarth Announce U.S. Tour with Goatwhore
It goes without saying that Amon Amarth touring with Goatwhore is fucking awesome and everyone is gonna wanna go see this tour. So instead of reiterating all of that, I’d like to concentrate on a quote from the press release announcing the trek.
This is the quote, from Goatwhore vocalist Ben Falgoust:
“We are looking forward to hitting the road with Amon Amarth and playing some raw as fuck metal for you people. Show up with your anger and let’s make some chaos happen. I know you all need to vent some issues. Let’s do it together and crush the opposition. I also hope by the end of this tour I can try to be as cool as Joe Grindo from Theories.”
Um… what’s that about Theories drummer Joe Grindo (a.k.a. Joe Axler, also of Samothrace and Book of Black Earth fame)? Are Theories on this tour? They’re not mentioned anywhere else in the press release. Goatwhore toured with Theories in 2015… but I can’t tell if this is meant as a slam against Theories or just an inside joke or what. It’s just odd to drop it into a tour announcement with no context.
Anyone have any, um, theories as to what that’s all about?
While you formulate your thesis, here are dates for the tour:
