Born of Osiris Release New-Old Song “Empires Erased” from Re-Recorded Debut EP

Born of Osiris have released another new/old song, “Empires Erased,” from their forthcoming EP The Eternal Reign, which is a re-recording of their debut EP, The New Reign. The new “Empires Erased” does sound better on a technical level, but still seems to lack any concrete reason to exist. The New Reign remains my favorite thing BOO have ever made, and having listened to the original “Empires Erased” about a thousand times, this version just doesn’t sound right to my ears. It’s like a Pod Person version of the song. Maybe I’ll get used to the new version… if not, well, at least no one is going around destroying all the copies of The New Reign.
