Exclusive Album Stream: Riviẽre, “Heal”

French post/prog metallers Riviẽre are getting a whole lot of attention for a band that’s yet to release an album. But just a few seconds into their debut full-length, Heal, you’ll immediately understand why.

Fans of TesseracT, Karnivool, Dredg and Earthside are going to lose their minds when the first few notes of album opener “New Cancer” kicks in. Like all of those bands, Riviẽre have an understanding of both melody and groove that’s unshakably catchy and propulsive, wrapped into a progressive shell that’s way more challenging than meets the eye. Musicians will envy them and non-musicians will adore them; there’s something here for everyone to enjoy, really.
