Alvin and the Chipmunks Covering Suicidal Tendencies’ “Institutionalized” is Basically the Best Thing Ever
There seem to be Chipmunks in the air this week. First, we learned that David Draiman does a mighty fine Chipmunk voice — one that’s arguably preferable to his real voice, in fact — and now we have this Chipmunkified cover of Suicidal Tendencies’ “Institutionalized,” courtesy of The Radioactive Chicken Heads.
And it’s friggin’ fantastic. I dunno why Mike Muir’s rantings and ravings become so goddamn funny when you make it sound like he just sucked down a ton of helium, but they do. Listen:
This recording now officially usurps the “Best ‘Institutionalized’ Cover” title from Body Count’s updated version of the song, which appeared on 2014’s Manslaughter.
