Here’s Disturbed’s David Draiman Singing Like Alvin the Chipmunk
Everyone musician’s got their own warm-up routine that works for them. Some vocalists do that classic “la la la la LA la la la la” thing in escalating half-steps we’ve all seen in films. Guitarists run scales. Drummers practice their paradiddles. Bassists stand in front of the mirror and try and look cool.
And then there’s David Draiman who, a couple of nights ago in Glasgow, Scotland, sang the band’s song “Immortalized” like Alvin the Chipmunk to get his pipes clear and firing. Whatever works, right? And, honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed Draiman’s voice more than I do here. He should perform all the band’s shows this way!
This was the same Glasgow show at which In Flames debuted their new live bass player, by the way.
