Perturbator’s Van Broken Into and Robbed in San Francisco
Perturbator’s first U.S. tour got underway last weekend, but unfortunately the short run has already hit a snag.
The van that Perturbator (aka James Kent) and his two bandmates are traveling in was broken into after their gig in San Francisco, and the robber made off with their gear. It’s not clear whether ALL of the gear was stolen or just some of it, but it seems that whatever was taken was crucial to the show.
The band is currently seeking out loaners from friends and fans to use at their upcoming shows in Chicago, New York, Montreal and Boston. Let’s do this; I KNOW we can come together to get what he needs! Here’s the full post text via Facebook, also embedded below:
Hi there, North America
My backline got stolen from the van in SF.
We’re all ok but unfortunately all the gear is gone. We won’t cancel any of the upcoming dates (Chicago, NY, Montreal, Boston), and will try our best to provide a good show no matter what.
If anyone in these cities happen to own, or know someone who owns a Prophet 6 synth and a moog sub 37, and is willing to let me borrow it for the show, please send me a message. That would be extremely kind. Show must go on.
If anyone can help, get in touch with Perturbator via Facebook. Remaining dates:
1/11 Chicago, IL @ Reggies
1/12 New York, NY @ Le Poisson Rouge
1/13 Montreal, QC @ Théâtre Fairmount
1/14 Boston, MA @ Once Ballroom
I’ll be there tomorrow night in NYC. Stoked. Buy merch to help out if you can!
