Trent Reznor STILL Teasing New Nine Inch Nails Music for THIS YEAR
Will Trent Reznor actually make good on his promise to release new Nine Inch Nails music this year? Either the answer is “yes,” or the guy is being a real meanie.
When asked about his vow for a new Rolling Stone piece, Reznor replied:
“Those words did come out of my mouth, didn’t they?” he says bluntly. Then he feigns surprise. “Oh, yeah, it’s December, isn’t it?” He pauses. “Just wait and see what happens.”
Reznor is no stranger to surprise albums: in 2008, he put out Ghosts I–IV with only a very cryptic countdown to serve as promotion prior to the release. So it’s not much of a stretch to imagine that he might actually unveil new Nine Inch Nails music sometime in the next eighteen days. Whether that will just be a single or an EP or an entire album, we obviously don’t know yet.
Or, like I said, maybe Reznor is just being a real meanie and teasing us because he can. Jerkface.
If nothing else, fans can look forward to Reznor and Atticus Ross’ score for the movie Patriots Day, which opens at Christmas, right when you’d wanna sit down and watch a movie about the Boston Marathon bombing.
