Psychostick Parody System of Down’s “B.Y.O.B.” With A Christmas Spin
Psychostick, everyone’s favorite Arizona-based hard rock parody band, are back with a new comedy cover; this time lampooning System of a Down’s 2005 hit “B.Y.O.B.” with a Christmas twist.
The track is called “N.O.E.L.” and it actually manages to grab at some of the political themes presented by System’s original version by cracking wise at consumerism during the holiday season.
The video is actually pretty funny and a huge step in terms of production quality when considering their past material. The lyrics are also spot on. Why don’t any of us visit family more? Oh, right. Because they drive us crazy.
Maybe it’s time to embrace this as your new Christmas go-to track. At least it’s got distorted guitars. It’s not Alice Cooper’s Christmas “Santa Claws is Coming to Town” but it’s a step in the right direction.
