Video Recap: Trivium’s Matt Heafy Reads Mean MetalSucks Comments About Himself Live on Facebook

Trivium have been the brunt of a little bit of internet hatred over the years, to put it mildly. So, last night — in celebration of the reissue of the band’s breakthrough debut, Ember to Inferno (out now!) — we invited guitarist/vocalist Matt Heafy to take over the MetalSucks Facebook page, and to stream a live video in which he read and responded to all the many wonderful things people have said about him over the years, culled directly from comments on MetalSucks posts!

Heafy was having so much fun taking all the trash-talk you leveled at him that he continued for HALF AN HOUR, inviting viewers to leave comments in real time and responding to those, too. Some were mean and some were just plain ol’ questions about Trivium — and LOTS of them were about his ears — but Matt handled everything like a true mensch!
