Artist/Motörhead Fan Sought to Create Lemmy Kilmister Memorial Murial at the Rainbow Bar & Grill
As first reported in June, Los Angeles’ Rainbow Bar & Grill, the favorite watering hole of the late, great Lemmy Kilmister, has turned their patio into “Lemmy’s Lounge,” a section dedicated to the legendary Motörhead frontman — complete with a life-sized bronze statue of Lemmy.
The Rainbow has now launched the official “Lemmy’s Lounge” website, and, according to a press release, are seeking “an artist and Motörhead fan to contribute a celebratory mural on the wall of Roxy, facing the statue and Lounge.” Hopefully, that mural will be considerably more Lemmy-like and less hagiographic than the statue turned out to be.
