Video: Couple Gets Engaged During “November Rain” at Guns N’ Roses Show
Marriage is a wonderful thing. It’s not easy, but most things that are worth pursuing in life aren’t. It’s been really awesome seeing rock and metal be a part of so many wedding related events recently, too, such as the black metal band Coldvoid, who accidentally crashed a wedding photoshoot with hilarious and heartwarming results in spite of the corpse paint and gothic candelabras. What I’m about to discuss is a lot more commonplace, but it’s still nice to witness.
Guns N’ Roses are currently engaged (hah!) in their “Not in this Lifetime” tour as it bounces its way through South America, but at one stop in Porto Alegre, Brazil two fans decided to get hitched during the band’s performance of “November Rain.” As the man in the video kneels down and pulls out the ring, the piano plinks softly in the background. You can’t hear any of the couple’s dialogue over the ballad in the background, but it looks like her answer is a resounding yes. Good for them. Here’s to hoping they make it work.
GNR are still touring through South America until the end of November, then they’ll be hitting the road in Japan beginning January 21st before heading to Australia and New Zealand. So, if you’re at a loss for a way to propose, go ahead and attend one of those shows. You can say you came up with the idea all by yourself, we won’t tell anyone.
