Upcoming Video Game Let it Die to Feature Music from Over 100 Prominent Japanese Metal/Rock Musicians
Let it Die is an upcoming survival hack and slash action game that appears to feature a grim reaper riding a skateboard. If that doesn’t already sell you, what if I mention the fact that it’s being created by Suda 51, the mastermind behind some of the craziest video game titles in recent memory (Lollipop Chainsaw, Killer 7, No More Heroes)? I bet you’re on board now.
Now there’s a soundtrack teaser that has us even more intrigued. The game’s composer Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill 2, Shadows of the Damned) has reached out to over 100 prominent Japanese rock and metal artists to help create music for the game. When a trailer features bands like Outrage, Flip, and Her Name in Blood I think it only warrants one reaction: where the fuck is Maximum the Hormone?
But seriously, it looks like a great lineup of artists. We’ll see how the free-to-play model works for this one when it’s released on PS4 later this year.
