Revolver Magazine Announces the Return of Their Annual Music Awards Show
Revolver held a press conference tonight at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus Bar, where they announced that their annual awards show would return on Tuesday, December 13 of this year after skipping 2015.
The event has been renamed the Revolver Music Awards from its title of the Golden Gods Awards in years past. The event will also switch coasts, transferring from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater (formerly the Nokia Theater) to Manhattan’s Webster Hall. The change of venues means this year’s Golden Gods will be scaled back from previous iterations. The Microsoft Theater holds 7,100 attendees, while the capacity for Webster Hall’s main room is only 1,500 people.
Performers scheduled to appear at the event include Megadeth, Zakk Wylde, Trivium, Lacuna Coil, and Stitched Up Heart, with more to be announced soon. Dave Mustaine and SiriusXM radio DJ Jose Mangin will host. There will be a tribute to fallen heroes including Lemmy, Scott Weiland and Nick Menza.
Public voting for the awards will take place starting tomorrow at 9am on RevolverMag.com.
Tickets are available here.
