Exclusive Track Premiere: Boreworm, “Synapse”
With their forthcoming EP Entomophobia, Boreworm prove that they belong in the death metal big leagues. An opening slot on the 2014 Summer Slaughter Tour and a hilarious video about “The Ultimate Metal Handshake” that same year gave them a cup of coffee, but with their latest release they’ve proved they’re here to stay.
Check out “Synapse” from the EP, below, exclusively premiering today via MetalSucks. It’s one of the more dynamic tracks on the album, giving Boreworm room to stretch out by showing they’re capable of a lot more than pure brutality. The track pulsates with life, its haunting, atmospheric guitars filling in the blank spaces between chunky death metal riffs and hard-hitting grooves. Also: shoutout to the bass player, whose nimble, complex lines lurk just beneath the surface and add a whole lot to the track.
Check out another song called “Vile Husk” if you like what you’re hearing below. Entomophobia comes out on November 19th and can be pre-ordered digitally or physically.
