Cannibal Corpse Cover the Squidbillies Theme

Is Squidbillies awesome? Should it be in my rotation of “Silly Shit to Watch When I’m Stoned”? None of my friends who usually clue me on this stuff have ever mentioned it to me before… but if Cannibal Corpse are into it, it must be at least kinda-sorta cool, right?

One way to find out: watch the most recent episode of the show, which was Halloween-themed and, appropriately, featured Cannibal Corpse covering the show’s theme. I don’t mean they got a band to cover the theme “in the style of” Cannibal Corpse — they got the actual Cannibal Corpse.

Unsurprisingly, it sounds really cool — like Cannibal Corpse slightly shifting their style from straight-up death metal to death n’ roll. I bet Chris Barnes heard this and was like, “Oh, shit, please don’t tell me they’re now going to do that better than I do, too.”

The episode isn’t embeddable, but you can watch it here. As is generally the case with television shows, the theme comes right at the top of the program, so you don’t even hafta watch the whole thing if you don’t want. Enjoy.
