Scale the Summit Lose a Drummer, Gain a Drummer, and Lose a Bassist
Two summit scalers will no longer be scaling summits with Scale the Summit: bassist Mark Michell and drummer J.C. Bryant have both parted ways with the band. The culprit, according to sole remaining member Chris Letchford, was money issues. Sad, but a tale seemingly as old as the very concept of live music.
The silver lining is that Letchford is really the Chuck Schuldiner of Scale the Summit, so there’s no reason to believe this will lessen the quality of the band’s music moving forward. And he’s already found a new drummer, Charlie Engen, who, we can assume from the below video, is more than up to filling Bryant’s kit.
