Did Avenged Sevenfold Pull a Fast One? New Album Rumored to be Coming Out TOMORROW
Did Avenged Sevenfold just pull off the PR stunt of the year?
Despite previous reports that the band’s new album would be called Voltaic Oceans and would be released December 9, new evidence strongly suggests that it’s actually called The Stage — yes, the same name as the first single — and will be released TOMORROW, Friday, October 28.
The evidence in question? Amazon Canada is listing the album — including the full track list and cover art — with an October 28 release date.
Additionally, the website MusikUniverse.mu has posted images of the physical CD which are either authentic or very, very convincing.
Furthermore, the band had previously announced a “must-see” performance, which they’ll stream live on the net tonight. Up until now, the biggest news surrounding that event has been the fact that fans can watch the live stream in 3D 360° and Virtual Reality… but if it actually turned out to be a record release show, well, that would obviously kick shit up a notch, wouldn’t it?
Assuming the album is called The Stage and will be released tomorrow, A7X may have just pulled off one of the most impressive fake outs in recent music history. They also managed to prevent the entire album from leaking in advance of its release, which is virtually unheard of in this day and age, especially for a band as prominent as this one.
So, fingers crossed, this time tomorrow, we’ll have a new Avenged Sevenfold album tickling our ear holes. That would be a nice weekend surprise, no?
