The New Boreworm Song “Vile Husk” is a Slab of Brutal, Groovy, Technical Death Metal
You guys know Boreworm, right? They made that hilarious video about “The Ultimate Metal Handshake” a couple years back, then they landed an opening slot on the 2014 edition of the annual Summer Slaughter tour a short while later, wowing those who came out early with their blend of progressive death metal.
Boreworm are back with a new EP, Entomophobia, and they’ve premiered a new song called “Vile Husk” over at Metal Injection. The track is definitely the heaviest I’ve ever heard from them, with an unstoppable groove and gut-punching rhythms that are brought to life by guitarist Mike Bielenda’s clear, massive engineering and mixing job. Ex-The Contortionist vocalist Dave Hoffman is in the band now, and Rivers of Nihil’s Brody Uttley lends a guest solo to one of the EP’s tracks, so perhaps this is Boreworm’s moment to break out into the big time; the first song would certainly suggest so.
Check it out below. Entomophobia comes out on November 19th and can be pre-ordered digitally or physically.
