Barghest and Teeth Release Split EP Full of Black Death
Louisianna black metallers Barghest have teamed up with California sonic death metal group Teeth to release a split EP via Cvlt Nation‘s label partnership, GrimCvlt. From start to finish the split spews musical and lyrical hatred but remains dynamic in its presentation; like two sides of a coin, there is a clear distinction between the bands.
Barghest proudly bear the black metal flag as blast beats dance with dissonant guitars that seemed primed to tear apart the ear canals of anyone listening, while Teeth present a more restrained version of crushing brutality, beginning with a tempered and deliberate intro that explodes into a crusty death metal bonfire capable of engulfing anyone who listens. This is extreme black and death at its finest.
I’ll admit that these groups weren’t on my radar before, but they most definitely are now. Check out the EP trailer below, and if you dig it head on over to their Bandcamp page and order yourself a cassette. It’s available now.
