Ion Dissonance are “Perpetually Doomed”

I was awake before my eyes opened. Some inhuman creature was making a nightmarish racket. It felt as though my neck and shoulders had been encased in concrete, like a gremlin was trying to dig its way out of my brain through the top of my skull, like all my teeth had been knocked out and the inside of my mouth lined with sandpaper. I was almost positive I was concussed.

What the fuck happened? Had I been viciously attacked and beaten into unconsciousness?

No, I realized: I had just made the mistake of listening to the new Ion Dissonance song without a helmet.
