Crowbar’s New Song is “Plasmic and Pure”
Crowbar’s new song, “Plasmic and Pure,” is a crusher with grooves deeper than Gene Hoglan’s ass crack. That goes without saying — crushing groove is Crowbar’s speciality.
But as an added bonus, the song has what is probably my favorite lyric of the year right around the 1:04 mark: “I give you an aspirin.” Okay, so that’s probably not what guitarist/vocalist/end of level boss Kirk Windstein is actually bellowing, but it sure does sound like it. I love the idea of a sludge metal song about over-the-counter medications.
Have an aspirin on Kirk Windstein — listen to “Plasmic and Pure” below (via Invisible Oranges). The song appears on Crowbar’s new album, The Serpent Only Lies, comes out October 28 on eOne.
