And the U.S. Presidential Candidate to Receive the All-Important Marilyn Manson Endorsement is…

…nobody! The shock rocker tells Rolling Stone he won’t vote because he‘s an idiot doesn’t like his choices:

“I don’t find either candidate to my liking, so I choose to stand out of this one. And I don’t think that’s a coward’s stance. A lot of people might say that. I just don’t really want to be a part of this piece of history. Last time, I did want to be involved in some piece of history as a voter.”

Normally I’d scold Manson by pointing out that he’s right, it isn’t a cowardly stance… it’s a stupid one, because there is no reality in which Hillary Clinton isn’t a better candidate than Donald Trump. You don’t have to like her — you just have to like her more than you like the idea of deporting Mexicans and putting Muslims in camps.

But in Manson’s case, I think it’s actually commendable that the dude is gonna sit this one out. Why? Because when Tucker Carlson asked him who he’d be voting for in the 2000 election, this is what he said:

“If I had to pick, I’d pick Bush, and not necessarily by default.”

Of course, Manson later claimed he was being sarcastic. Maybe in a few years he’ll say he was being sarcastic in this interview, too. And if we’re really lucky, on his deathbed, he’ll announce his entire career was sarcastic. Yeah, that’s the ticket…
