Video: Bruce Dickinson-Backed Airship Crashes During Second Flight
Bruce Dickinson is the man for a myriad of reasons, and one of them is certainly that he’s backing the creation of the world’s largest aircraft, the Airlander 10, which he hopes will be used to bring humanitarian aid to countries that need it.
However, when the Airlander took its second test flight recently, things didn’t go so well during the landing, and the vehicle crashed. You can watch footage of the crash below, which is kind of hilarious, because it’s like watching the crash landing of an inner tube. FWUMP!
Hybrid Air Vehicles, the company that makes the Airlander, were quick to note that everyone was okay after the crash. Which is good, because as a hopeless romantic, this story gives me a reason to live. You know, the whole Frontman Of Iron Maiden Backing The World’s Largest Aircraft thing. Persevere, don’t despair, Bruce! You’ll be tossing bottles of clean water and dehydrate food to starving children soon enough!
