Every Time I Die Warn That “Love Will Get You Killed”

Every Time I Die are remarkably consistent… usually. Don’t kill me, but truth be told, I don’t love the first third of their new song, “C+++ (Love Will Get You Killed).” It’s got a kinda sounds, to my ears at least, like an inferior version of Nirvana’s “Breed”; it’s not horrible or anything, I just don’t find it very engaging.

Once the song finds its groove around 1:15ish mark, though, it gets right back to ETID’s usual dependable ass kickery. It also contains one of my new favorite Keith Buckley lyrics: “I’ll eat crow, it don’t taste so bad.” There’s a lesson we could all stand to learn, no?
