New Zakk Wylde + Corey Taylor Music Video is Pretty Funny
That our protagonist begins Zakk Wylde’s new music video already bloodied and bruised sets the tone perfectly: it has not been a good day for this poor fellow, wandering down a country road alone for some unknown reason. And things just get worse from there. What great crime against humanity did this sap perpetrate to deserve such treatment?
“Sleeping Dogs” also features Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, and though he doesn’t appear in the video (nor does Zakk, for that matter) there’s a fun visual reference to his involvement in the song. Which, by the way, is pretty good! I hadn’t been all that interested in Zakk’s latest album Book of Shadows II (I’ve just never been that big on his acoustic stuff), but this track’s damn catchy. And it just hit #22 in the U.S. and #11 in Canada at active rock radio. Nifty! I’m happy for Zakk.
