Nearly nine years ago, in our first year as a publication, frontman Greg Puciato granted us one of our biggest interviews to date, and just last week MS scribe Max Frank wrote an editorial on why The Dillinger Escape Plan are one of the greatest metal bands of all time, their legacy already cemented. DEP are a band who have pushed boundaries and marched entirely to the beat of their own drum throughout their career, and they’ve been remarkably consistent in that throughout.

To talk about that individuality and spirit, we caught up with band founder and guitarist Ben Weinman for a candid chat in the below clip. Ben talks about the band’s humble beginnings, pioneering change, being a constantly evolving artist, and his life parallels to tattoo artist Norman Collins.
