“Ignore the Stranger”: Goes Cube are Back!
I really thought Goes Cube were done. They haven’t released new music or toured since 2012. The band’s members have moved onto other projects. I just assumed we’d heard the last of ’em.
Luckily… I assumed wrong! Not only is the band set to release a new album, Shadows Swallowed the Flood, but they’ve debuted a song from that album, “Ignore the Stranger,” on Metal Injection.
And, WOW, what a welcome return: it’s heavy, it’s dreamy, it’s expansive, and it sounds very little like any previous Goes Cube material. This band always excelled at evolving their sound — their sophomore full-length, In Tides and Drifts, sounds nothing like their debut, Another Day Has Passed — and it’s thrilling to learn they haven’t lost that talent.
Check out “Ignore the Stranger” below. Shadows Swallowed the Flood comes out October 21 on Old Flame (digital) and Greenway Records (vinyl). Pre-order it here!
