Sinsaenum Blow Their Entire Fake Blood Budget on “Splendor and Agony”

Overall, I haven’t paid much attention to Sinsaenum, the new band from Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison that also features alumni from Chimaira, Dragonforce, and Mayhem, because, well, it’s just that. An extreme metal supergroup. I have other bands to listen to.

But I have to admit, this new video for “Splendor and Agony” charmed me a little. The song’s actually not terrible–imagine Chimaira with a more arch, Belphegorish aspect to it–and the video is just a bunch of horror imagery, but it ain’t terrible. I’d happily watch a bunch of dudes with white contacts and fake blood Silent Hill around in an old factory than yet another compilation of live performances and road burritos.
