Wanna Know How Much Money is Made by Festivals Like Rocklahoma and Rock on the Range?
The latest Boxscore report has landed and, as usual, our friends at Metal Insider have done the heavy lifting of sorting through it and posting the box office numbers of some notable metal and hard rock bands. What makes this week’s Boxscore report unique is that it features grosses for some of the spring and early summer’s biggest hard rock and metal festivals.
As usual, note that these numbers are not a wholly accurate reflection of how much money the fest’s organizers take home. After the ticket numbers are in, the promoters still have to pay the bands, their crew, travel expenses, etc. On the other side of it, the numbers also don’t include any money earned from merch sales, concessions, etc. But these Boxscore reports do provide a general idea of the earning power of each of these fests, especially relative to one another.
