As I Lay Dying Social Network Admins Have Fun on Father’s Day

So this happened yesterday:

Which is obviously pretty friggin’ weird, given that As I Lay Dying’s vocalist and sole remaining member, Tim Lambesis, is currently serving a six year jail term for trying to have his estranged wife, Meggan, murdered, in order to have sole custody of their three children. Meggan and those children have since been granted ten years protection from the vocalist — meaning that when Tim gets out, he’ll still have another four years before he can see his kids. So “Happy Father’s Day!” is, uh… well, y’know.

Of course, we don’t know if Lambesis himself made these messages, or if there’s an admin who did it, presumably as a joke. In which case I’d imagine Lambesis needs to find a new admin.

Making this development odder still: Lambesisgoat points out that this is the second year in a row the AILD Facebook page has displayed such a message.

I’d like to think Lambesis’ kids responded “Tough shit! #triedtokillmommy,” but that’s probably just wishful thinking on my part.
