Rob Zombie Does What Rob Zombie Does Best in “The Life and Times of a Teenage Rock God”

Ah, Rob Zombie, master of doing what he wants to over and over again. Though his recent videos have been budget and childish, they definitely show a lack of fucks given about trying to play the cultural relevancy game. I’ll watch a psychedelic montage of alien dicks over yet another video of gritty hospital footage any day.

Case in point: Zombie has just released a video for his new track “The Life and Times of a Teenage Rock God,” and though it’s ridiculous to hear a 51-year-old man screaming, “I’m a teenage rock god!” over and over again, the video itself is still pretty much what I want from Zombie. This time around, the aesthetic he’s messing with is Dia De Los Muertos, with the band dressed like undead mariachis and driving a boat of a car with an oily Satan in the passenger seat. Overall, this video has charmed me, though that might be due to all of the drugs.
