Someone Made Custom Metallica License Plates Out of Paper
Has your favorite band’s name got too many characters to fit on a standard license plate? No problem!
One Metallica superfan from California was so frustrated by the DMV’s refusal to allow the band’s full, nine-letter moniker to fit onto a license plate, that they took matters into their own hands, according to IncredibleThings.com [via MS scribe Emperor Rhombus, out on leave today]. Using the state’s standard seven-character format, the hesher simply got his or her plates to say ETALLIC, then hand-drew the M and A onto opposite ends of a piece of paper with the plate placed in the middle. Genius!
While the legality of such a maneuver is dubious (yeah… probably very illegal), the possibilities with this newfound method of license plate number alteration are endless:
(B)UTTMUNC(H)
(D)ICKBALL(S)
(F)ARTYBUT(T)
Yeah, we have the sense of humor of a seven year old. We suppose you could do something like (T)ESTAMEN(T) instead, but that’s so BORING.
We commend this California resident for his or her creativity. Also, nice Volvo, bruh.
