GWAR, Attila, Suicide Silence, and Green Jelly Will Appear at The Gathering of the Juggalos 2016

I’ve made it clear in the past that I consider myself a Juggalo to some extent. I may not rock a Hatchet Man necklace or regularly rhapsodize about the effect my scrotum has on zaftig women, but somewhere deep inside of me lurks a leering psychopath willing to pour a two-liter of budget soda down my pants.

Which is why I’m excited to announce that the yearly promo video for the Gathering of the Juggalos has been announced, and that this year’s line-up contains quite a few metal bands. Sadly, none of them pack the same punch as Cannibal Corpse, but at least there will be stuff for metalheads to enjoy and/or boo viciously.

On the minus side, we have Attila, Asking Alexandria, the new and improved Emmure playing (congratulations, Frankie, you finally made it!) playing. But on the plus side, you’ve got GWAR, Suicide Silence, and Green fucking Jelly all playing this year’s festival, and that’s a line-up that I’d go out to see any night of the year. There will also apparently be a lingerie contest this year, so ladies, time to go buy a fishnet bodysuit and a skull-mouth bandana.

Something worth noting is that a lot of the heavy bands playing here, and who have played in the past, are big enough names that they wouldn’t play this gig for the Hell of it. Which means that love them or hate them, ICP are making a ton of money with this festival. Hell, the fake informercial they made for this year’s Gathering has surprisingly high production value. Hopefully, this year they make sure some of that cash makes its way to the vendors.
