Metallica’s “One” Played on One Guitar… by Three People at the Same Time

0

Rob Scallon’s videos are always a treat, and this year’s May-tallica has been no exception. That said, there’s only so many banjo and ukulele covers of Metallica songs you can watch until you’ve had your fill.

But it seems as if Mr. Scallon has saved his best work for last with a GENIUS concept: Metallica’s “One” played one one guitar (and 8-string, for the bass parts), in one continuous take, by three different people. In addition to the different guitar parts, one person takes James Hetfield’s vocal lines, and then there’s an interesting interpretation of the heavy part in the middle, and… well, I won’t ruin it for you. Just watch! How many takes do you think it took to get this right?

Joe Shadid from Reverb.com and Jeff Linville are the second and third players here. The guitar being used is Scallon’s new signature model, which is available for pre-order now.

By my count Scallon’s still got one more video to go in May-tallica. This one’s gonna be tough to top!
