One Minute of New Byzantine Music Sounds REALLY Promising (Plus: Tour Dates!)

The pressure is on: after being given a second life by Metal Blade — almost a decade after splitting from Prosthetic Records, breaking up, getting back together, and self-releasing two albums since — perennial MetalSucks favorites and underdogs Byzantine must deliver an absolute knock-out album. No one knows this more than frontman Chris “OJ” Ojeda, who is leading the charge, and couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity.

So let this assuage your fears, OJ: the footage you just posted of bassist Sean Sydnor laying down his parts on a pre-production track is fucking booooooomb! The Byz also just announced a few shows around the Midwest this summer; dates below the video. The band promises their Metal Blade debut will hit in early 2017… never have I been so stoked for winter’s arrival.
