Death Angel Vs. the “Father of Lies”

Death Angel may be the lowest-billed band on their upcoming tour with Slayer and Anthrax, but of this trio of classic thrash acts, they’ll be promoting the best new album. Yeah, I said it: The Evil Divide, Death Angel’s latest, is better than both the lackluster Repentless AND the sufficientlyluster For All Kings. New songs are usually a good excuse to go take a piss break, but that won’t be the case while Death Angel are on stage — The Evil Divide is chock full of rippers.

The latest ripper to be released for ripping: “Father of Lies.” Not only is it old school thrash done to perfection, but it has what might be my new favorite Rob Cavestany solo. The way it builds… ugh, so good.
