Sanzu Remind You That Your “Tailor” is an Overworked Child Laborer

Australia’s Sanzu sound a lot like Gojira in their use of ultra-dense riffs and bizarre steely guitar sounds. More importantly, they’re like Gojira in that they’re not content to only write music about hailing the Dark One and spilling guts onto killing floors.

The band’s new lyric video for their crushing song “Tailor” has some great artwork, awesome lyrics, and a very clear message: the way in which our clothes, and in fact many of our “lifestyle products”, are made is brutal and unholy. That we rarely think of the people behind the things we use every day shows our desire to not acknowledge how beholden we are to them. Heavy handed? Kind of preachy? Definitely, but also a point worth acknowledging.
