Listen to Two New Moonsorrow Tracks!
If you’re wondering why we haven’t written about Moonsorrow in a while it’s because their last album, Varjoina kuljemme kuolleiden maassa, came out all the way back in 2011. It could also be because founding member, guitarist and keyboardist Henri Sorvali found himself at the center of a controversy involving British clothing retailer H&M’s creation of fake metal band logos for a line of clothes, although we’re guessing that didn’t take up TOO much of his time. He also plays keys in Finntroll and Ensiferum, of course.
But rejoice: new Moonsorrow is here! One of the few folk/pagan/whatever metal bands still worth caring about will release Jumalten Aika on April 1st via Century Media, and today we get a new music video for the song “Suden Tunti,” a rad clip with both animation and live action set to an appropriately epic tune. The band also posted a cover of the Rotting Christ song “Non Serviam” last week (from the bonus disc on the album’s limited edition), so we’ll post that below as well. From these two tracks it seems as if Moonsorrow haven’t let up one bit — in fact, they’ve gotten even more intense with age — but take a listen below and judge for yourself.
Pre-order Jumalten Aika here.
