Watch Oli Sykes Teach a Grandmother How to Death Growl

When he’s not desperately trying to get Coldplay’s attention, Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes is actually a pretty competent metal screamer (it’s really just the clean vocals that make me want to shit a vital organ). More so, he’s good at giving the public what they want — which, in this day and age, appears to be death-growling grandmas.

BMTH recently appeared on British variety show Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, during a segment where a woman embarrassed her grandson by hanging out with the band backstage at the NME Awards. During the bit, she asks Oli to teach her how to growl — and then does a pretty good job at it!

What’s more important than this woman’s growling, though, is the charged moment shared between her and Sykes. As she’s growling, you can see their eyes lock, and a little electricity pass between them. Let’s be honest, we all know what Oli’s thinking:
