There’s a New Pelican Live Album Out Now, and it’s Free!
This past December Pelican did a brief run of shows with Goatsnake, culminating in an epic night at The Empty Bottle in their hometown of Chicago (which the band documented for us on the MetalSucks Instagram account!).
Turns out Pelican did a lot more than just snap a few drunken cell phone pics that night; they recorded the performance for posterity, and with the help of mastering engineer Dallas Thomas they’ve released the collection to the public… completely for free!
The album is called Live at The Empty Bottle December 15, 2015 (GEE, REAL ORIGINAL NAME, GUYS) and is available for streaming and download via Pelican’s Bandcamp. The band would, of course, greatly appreciate if you choose to pay a few bucks for your download, but the free option is there if you’re a chump and you don’t deem the recording worthy.
Check it out below and tell us what you think.
