Stream the New Årabrot Album Now. RIGHT NOW.
Fun fact about Årabrot’s frontman, Kjetil Nernes: he was diagnosed with malignant throat cancer in 2014, but said “Fuck it” and decided to go on tour before having surgery to remove the cancer. That’s some real dedication right there, folks.
But it looks as if all that dedication has paid off, because the Norwegian noise rock act are streaming their new album The Gospel on Bandcamp for your listening/viewing/touching/smelling/tasting pleasure. I’m not sure how exactly you would go about viewing, touching, smelling and tasting this album, but I’m always open to new ideas.
The Gospel is a concept album that, according to Noisey, tells the story of “… a lone warrior on a devastated battlefield whose plight is explored through a vivid, unsettling mix of art-rock, metallic noise, piano-flecked post-punk epics, blood, sex, and death.”
Yep, you heard them. Blood, sex and death. If that doesn’t sell people on a metal website then all hope might be lost and we might truly need the Gospel. The real Gospel. We need some Jesus.
Just kidding. No one here needs Jesus.
The Gospel is out now via Fysisk Format. You can listen below and order from Årabrot’s Bandcamp page.
