Paroxsihzem’s “Isolation” is the Most Interesting Thing You’ll Hear Today
You could be forgiven for assuming that a band called Paroxsihzem play nu-metal (why aren’t they just called Paroxysm?). Nothing could be further from the truth — and the truth is this: Paroxsihzem occupy the same gloaming in-between death metal and flat-out experimental music as bands like Portal and Antiversum. It’s the kind of stuff that the tr00est extreme music fan may argue is “just noise” — an argument that is, to some degree, hard to argue.
But if you’re looking for something that’s both heavy as fuck and undeniably original, you’re gonna dig Paroxsihzem. I haven’t even heard the band’s whole album yet, and I’m beyond intrigued. Does all that racket fit together in any comprehensible way? If so, how? Does it really matter? All questions with which I look forward to wrestling.
Do some wrestling yourself below via Paroxsihzem’s”Isolation,” courtesy of No Clean Singing; below that, you can check out another of the band’s tracks, “Bellicose Psychosis.” Both songs will appear on Paroxsihzem’s aptly-titled Abyss of Excruciating Vexes, which will be out in March on Hellthrasher.
