Crowbar Announce 2016 Broken Glass 20th Anniversary Tour Dates
Like with most bands, which Crowbar album is your favorite probably depends heavily on when you first got into the band. So those who first got hip to New Orleans’ finest sludge outfit on the 1996 album Broken Glass — likely those in their teenage years / early 20s around that time — will be stoked to learn that Crowbar will be celebrating the album’s 20th anniversary by performing it in full on their upcoming tour. Huzzah!
Crowbar’s earlier stuff is the material that means the most to me, but when it comes to seeing the band live it matters not — I just show up at the venue, throw a few back, bang the fuck out of my head for an hour, then go home happy — so I’m sure superfans of this album and general Crowbar lovers alike will have a blast. I caught the ‘Bar at Saint Vitus last June (with Royal Thunder) and I’ve seen them several times over the years, and their shows are NEVER disappointing no matter what material they’re playing. Plus you get to watch Rabbi Windstein — and his sudden onset DAVID DRAIMAN SYNDROME — be all wizardly and wise. Win/win.
