In Search Of Sun Will “Never” Find What They’re Looking For Without Your Help
What happens when you combine awesome with awesome? Doritos and Old Spice would probably say a pitch for their new advertising campaigns, but in metal’s case we get a track called “Never” from In Search Of Sun mixed by Periphery’s Adam “Nolly” Getgood.
Personally I’ve never been a fan of high-pitched, clean vocals, but every once in a while there’s that band that says “Fuck what you know, Phil,” and today that band is In Search Of Sun. The vocals are clean and high-pitched but rather than whiny and annoying they’re smooth and mellow. Obviously since Nolly is mixing this track there’s a sonic hint of Periphery in it. There’s also a pretty solid Protest The Hero feel going on, although In Search Of Sun aren’t nearly as heavy as either of those bands.
Unfortunately, however, awesomeness isn’t free. “Never” is a test mix, but In Search Of Sun’s plan is to have Nolly record the whole album and they need your help if that’s gonna happen. So if you’re feeling benevolent and you love the idea of awesome and awesome having an awesome baby in the form of a new album called Virgin Funk Mother, consider throwing these dudes a buck or two.
Virgin Funk Mother will drop whenever it gets the funding. You can listen to “Never” below and donate to the bands’ Kickstarter page here.
