Judas Priest Announce New Live Album + Concert Film, Battle Cry

Judas Priest have announced that they’ll release Battle Cry, a new live album — and accompanying DVD/Blu-ray, natch — on March 25. It will primarily consist of the band’s performance at Wacken 2015, but the DVD/Blu-ray also have bonus tracks that were recorded this past December in Poland.

Gotta be honest: I do not know who the heck this is for. It will be Priest’s sixth live album, the most recent of which, A Touch of Evil: Live, was released in 2009; since then, the band has parted ways with guitarist K.K. Downing and released one studio album, Redeemer of Souls. So the only thing Battle Cry has to offer that those previous live albums don’t are Faulkner and some Redeemer tracks. So I guess the market for this is Judas Priest completists and Richie Faulkner’s mom?
