Here’s the Lineup for Heavy Montreal 2016!

As promised, Heavy Montreal has announced the lineup for the festival’s NINTH edition this morning. And it’s a doozy!

As usual, the organizers have put together an incredibly diverse bill that traverses the metal spectrum over the festival’s two days. Mastodon, Killswitch Engage, Ghost, Despised Icon, Carcass, Animals as Leaders, Suffocation, Mantar… do we have your attention yet?

Sure, the top end of the bill is anchored by bands on the hard rock side of the spectrum that probably won’t tickle the fancy of MS readers as much — Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch — but with so many excellent bands already announced and more on the way, how could Heavy Montreal 2016 not end up being THE destination festival of the summer for anyone in Eastern Canada or the Northeastern United States?

Heavy Montreal 2016 will take place on August 6th and 7th at Plaine Des Jeux in Parc Jean-Drapeau, Montreal. Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday, February 5th.
