Every Time I Die and ex-TesseracT Members Speak Out Against Phil Anselmo
Following the lead of Machine Head’s Robb Flynn and then All Shall Perish and Darkest Hour, members of Every Time I Die and TesseracT have commented on Phil Anselmo’s recent actions.
Ex-Tesseract vocalist Elliot Coleman offered a humorous take on the incident. Though it’s not a laughing matter, I don’t think anyone but the most ardent Anselmo apologists would take issue with Coleman’s comment:
"Phil Anselmo and Michael Richards walk into a bar…"

Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley shared a sentiment that many of us are surely thinking, only few in the metal community have been brave enough to express publicly for fear of reprisal and alienation by Phil:
lost a lot of childhood heroes in the music world lately, Phil Anselmo being the most recent

Hopefully more prominent metal musicians will offer their commentary as well. It’s time that we, as a community, stop excusing Anselmo’s racism — which we’ve known about for years — and sweeping it under the rug.
