Video: Decrepit Birth’s Samus Paulicelli Plays in the Style of Fourteen Influential Metal Drummers in Three Minutes

Samus “66Samus” Paulicelli, cinemetallic auteur and drummer for Decrepit Birth, is back with his latest video, and it’s a doozy. In the clip, Samus plays in the style of fourteen of metal’s most revered drummers, all within three minutes. We’ve seen this sort of thing done with guitar and vocals before, but I can’t recall ever seeing someone attempt it with drums; it is, it should go without saying, killer, and often hilarious. It’s also to Samus’ credit that he didn’t go for the obvious Lars Ulrich joke I was expecting (and definitely would have made myself).
